Now that I am finished with school’s spring session, I am free to enjoy the summer months. While I am sure that lounging around the house watching Netflix all day would be fun at first, I know that it will soon become boring. That is why I have decided to give myself a few goals that I would like to achieve before I go back to school in September. I know that if I document them here, I will be more likely to complete (or at least work towards) these goals.
Grow my Blog
‘Chloe Plus Coffee’ is very new to the internet. In fact, my first post was only 3 weeks ago. One of my goals for my blog is to continue to post 3 times a week (Lifestyle on Sunday, Fashion on Tuesday, and Beauty on Thursday). I can help myself do this by planning and writing blog posts ahead of time, that way I won’t run out of time to complete them.
I would also love to introduce a new series in the future – more specifically, an Interview Series. I have so many talented friends that I would love to showcase on my blog.
Work on my Fitness
A few months ago my family purchased a Bowflex Max Trainer machine, and at first I was quite dedicated to using it. I worked out on the machine about 4 days a week, but stopped when I became busy with final exams and other things. My goal for the summer is to get back into my routine of working out 4 times a week, if not more.
Make Time for Friends
Since school takes up a huge portion of my time from September to April, I want to set aside more time for my friends in the summer months. It’s easy to let time slip by and not see your friends for a while, so I want to further my friendships and see my friends on a regular basis.
Take Care of Myself
This includes drinking plenty of water everyday, wearing moisturizers and foundations with SPF, and taking time to relax. The school year is alway quite stressful and I often forget to take time to relax and unwind.
Allow for Spontaneous Adventures
This summer I want to say “yes” a bit more, because life can be full of fun little adventures if you allow them.
While some of these goals aren’t necessarily trackable, I know when I look back on this post at the end of summer I’ll be able to confirm whether or not I followed through. Just writing these things down has me excited for the weeks to come!
What are some of your goals for the summer? How do you plan to achieve them?
