After one visit, Einstein Bros. became my go-to breakfast place in Spokane. Before finding Einstein Bros., the only other bagels I had tried were from Tim Hortons. Don’t get me wrong, Tim Hortons bagels are great, but what’s cool about Einstein Bros. is that they specialize in bagels, meaning they have likely perfected their recipes. If you’re not in the Spokane area, don’t worry: Einstein Bros. has locations all across America! You can find their selection of bagels here, and spoiler alert: it’s extensive.
With two locations in Spokane, The Onion’s menu has almost everything; burgers, sandwiches, pasta, fish & chips, pizza, you name it. The Onion also features the Area 51 Taphouse in both of their locations. As you can see in the picture, they also offer milkshakes (which are delicious).
Being a Brit and having Scottish grandparents, fish & chips are a family favourite. After googling fish and chip shops in Spokane, my parents found this gem. Thrifty Scotsman has been in business for over 37 years, which is incredible! I think it’s really important to support small / local businesses, so I am glad my family discovered this restaurant!
