WORTH IT? | FabFitFun Editor’s Box 2018 Unboxing

After seeing countless advertisements all over the internet, as well as many video reviews by social media influencers, I finally decided to jump on the FabFitFun bandwagon. Of course, I waited until I received a deal I couldn’t resist; 40% off my first box. It also helped that the spoilers for the box had been released, and I had liked the look of all of the items included.

With the regular price of the box being $50 USD, and shipping to Canada being $9.00 USD, I have questioned many times whether the FabFitFun box is worth purchasing. With the 40% off and my excitement over the items in the box, I knew this one was definitely worth it.

Here are all of the items that came in the FabFitFun Editor’s Box.

FabFitFun Editor's Box 2018 | African Botanics Revitalizaing Therapy Gel | Photo by Chloe Plus Coffee

African Botanics | Revitalizing Therapy Gel | 2 fl oz – $65 USD

This was the wellness item I chose for the box. The other option was a gym bag, which didn’t spark my interest. Though I’m sure this product will be great, I know I won’t be repurchasing it, due to its large price tag.

RealHer | Eyeshadow Palette | $28 USD

This was one of my main reasons for purchasing the box. I love playing around with eyeshadow looks, so I am looking forward to trying out this palette.

FabFitFun Editor's Box 2018 | Makeup Drop Silicone Makeup Applicator | Photo by Chloe Plus Coffee

MakeupDrop | Silicone Makeup Applicator | $20 USD

I have been hoping to try a silicone makeup applicator ever since the trend first appeared in the beauty world. I’m excited to see whether it lives up to the hype.

FabFitFun Editor's Box 2018 | Muscle Soak Himalayan Salt | Photo by Chloe Plus Coffee

Way of Will | Bath Salts | 8 oz – $35 USD

Since I have been hitting the gym a lot lately, these will definitely come in handy when I have sore muscles. I don’t take baths too often, but the next time I do I’ll throw these in.

FabFitFun Editor's Box 2018 | Summer & Rose Long Earrings | Photo by Chloe Plus Coffee

Summer & Rose | Bar Chain Earrings in Rose | $38 USD

This was the item I picked for the jewelry choice, with the other option being a double bar necklace by the same brand. These dainty earrings are so lovely and feminine, as well as subtle.

FabFitFun Editor's Box 2018 | Spongelle Bulgarian Rose Body Wash Infused Buffer | Photo by Chloe Plus Coffee

Spongelle | Body Buffer in Bulgarian Rose | $16 USD

First of all, this smells absolutely incredible. It’s a reusable sponge that exfoliates and moisturizes your skin while showering.

FabFitFun Editor's Box 2018 | Whish Rose Hip & Lotus Nourishing Dew Mask | Photo by Chloe Plus Coffee

Whish Beauty | Nourishing Dew Mask | $54 USD

I have already tried this mask a couple of times, and it is incredible! I leave it on for about half an hour, and after removing it my skin is so hydrated.

BB Dakota | Reversible Poncho in Black | $70 USD

This BB Dakota poncho was my fashion choice for the box, over the Mer-Sea & Co scarf. While this poncho is soft and warm, I was expecting a thicker fabric for a value of $70.

THOUGHTS ABOUT FABFITFUN

Though I really enjoyed the products in this box, I decided to cancel my subscription after seeing the spoilers for the Spring Box. The items just weren’t things that I could see myself using and enjoying. Plus, at full price, I would be paying $59 USD (almost $80 CAD), which just isn’t feasible for me.

My advice, if you’re money-conscious like me, would be to sign up for their email list, and wait until they give you an amazing offer, like 40% off your first box.

What I found interesting about FabFitFun was that they also have “add-ons”, which are items that you can choose to purchase with your box, for a decent discount.

I also enjoy that they have choice items, that way it is partially customizable.

As for shipping, it took exactly 3 weeks to get to me in Alberta, Canada from California. This isn’t too bad, considering it has to cross the border, but it’s certainly not the fastest.

Since canceling my subscription, FabFitFun have emailed me offering $10 off of the Spring Box, but as I said, the products included don’t interest me. If I saw a box in the future filled with items I’d love, I would likely sign up again.

Are you a FabFitFun member? What are your thoughts about the box?
